The Meal-in-a-Glass Smoothie

1 cup green tea, cooled (this can be decaffeinated if preferred)
4 cups fresh raw spinach
1 banana (this can be substituted by either ½ cup of fresh mango or ½ cup sweet potato)
½ cup berries of choice
1 medjool date (pit removed) OR 1 tbsp date syrup
¼ cup raw red cabbage
½ cup fresh edamame beans
2 tbsp Just Natural Organic sunflower seeds OR Just Natural Organic walnut halves
¼ tsp Just Natural Organic turmeric powder OR ½ inch chunk of fresh turmeric root (peeled)
2 tbsp nutritional yeast
1 tsp Just Natural Organic ground ginger OR 1 tsp fresh ginger root (peeled)
½ tsp Just Natural ground cinnamon
1 tbsp Just Natural Organic raw cacao powder

How to Make it

  1. Firstly, add the spinach to the green tea in the blender once it has been given about 5 minutes to cool. Whizz quickly together.
  2. Add in the rest of the ingredients and blend until smooth.
  3. Ideal to share with a loved one, or plan to have one glass for brekkie and one for lunch – the choice is yours, you smoothie (had to be done…).
